My New Obsession – Gwynnie Bee!

If you follow any other plus size bloggers (shout out to Skinny Emmie!) you might have heard of Gwynnie Bee. If not here’s the gist of it; you sign up for a membership, and you choose a level of 1,2, 3, 5, 7, or 10 pieces of clothing. You then go through their large collection of clothes and fill your virtual closet with the pieces you like and they send them to you. It’s like Netflix for clothes! You wear them for a bit, then return them (free shipping both ways!!) and they send you new items from your closet. It’s a great way to try new clothes without filling up your closet with things you wore once or twice.

I love it because it’s a great way to try new clothes. Sadly, most stores don’t carry a good selection of (if any) plus size clothes, so it’s hard to browse and try new things. Gwynnie Bee sends you items to try on and test run as your leisure. What could be better??

I am honored to have partnered with Gwynnie Bee to help get the word out about their service and show my friends and readers just how awesome they are. I received my first piece last week, and boy am I in love…….

GB packages

The package! It comes in a nice weather proof bag with instructions and a card. Inside, it’s prettily wrapped with a Gwynnie Bee sticker.

My first item is the Lands’ End Pleated Shoulder Drapey V-Neck Dress

first dress pic

First pic! Please excuse my lumpy unaboob – I tried it on while wearing a sportsbra.

I love everything about this dress – the color, the length, the cut, the v-neck, the pockets!! But I don’t love that it’s long sleeves. Here in Texas, winter is pretty much over, so we’re already eyeing our spring wardrobes. However, the material is light enough to keep the dress wearable. I styled it two ways. One for wearing to work or out to dinner, and one to wear to my friend’s birthday lunch at a casual restaurant on the lake.

Outfit #1

Wedges, silver owl necklace, and a silver belt. Perfect for a business meeting or a nice dinner.

Outfit #2

Short cardigan (with polka dots!) gold owl necklace, and nude Tory Burch flats – how I’d wear it for everyday use.

I am so excited about the prospect of more exciting clothes to come! Gwynnie Bee is a great service for women who are on a budget, but want to really experiment with their wardrobe. If you only have $50 a month in your “splurge on my clothes” budget, this is a great way to try new things and keep your wardrobe fun and fresh. It’s like a new wardrobe you don’t have to commit to….. and we all know what a commitment-phobe I am.

So go check out Gwynnie Bee today! If you mention that I sent you over, you can get your first month membership for free. Free people!! Just choose the 1,2, or 3 garment plan and let them know I recommended you.

**Disclosure: This partnership provides me with product and compensation for referrals. All opinions, outfits, and thoughts are completely my own.
