Outfit Post – What I Wore To An Art Show

It’s been a pretty crazy week and weekend around here! After the big announcement, it seemed like all I did was answer questions and cry….. a lot. Don’t worry, all were tears of happiness.

On Saturday, we went to a show at an art gallery to support our friend Ruthie. She is so insanely talented and I’m so proud of her for being in this show! I had no idea what to wear. I’m neither classy nor artsy, so I was stumped. Luckily, I had one more dress from Gwynnie Bee…….

I’m apparently super into horizontal stripes right now! I really like this dress because it gives the illusion of a very hourglass-esque shape, and because the material was super comfy. It has a nice lining that kept the dress from clinging in the wrong places, but wasn’t constricting or annoying. And can we talk about the purse for a minute? I’m super in love with my roomy, Barbie-pink purse!! Plus, it was $35 and that my friends is amazing. Maybe I’m finally over the super expensive purse……

Also, this picture made me realize how freaking pasty my legs are! That is a disgrace to my Mexican heritage. Looks like I’ll be spending some time in the sun…… or a tanning bed. Just to get a base!! #dontjudgeme

PS – Thanks for all of the love over my engagement. The fiance and I were totally overwhelmed with the lurve. Plus, one of my favoritest blogger friends J from J’s Everyday Fashion announced her engagement the same day!! I’m so freaking happy for her. She is so sweet and lovely, and seeing her happy warms my heart. Congrats girl!!

PPS – If you still haven’t checked out Gwynnie Bee, I totes recommend it. Seriously, you get a giant wardrobe of awesome at your disposal for the cost of one dress a month. Try all the fun things you love with none of the commitment.
