Remember when I shared my fall haul from Nordstrom and I mentioned being obsessed with a certain sweater? And then I mentioned again in my fall uniform post that I now had it in four colors? Well, I have taken to wearing them with EVERYTHING. I’m desperately trying to restrain myself from buying the last two colors that I don’t have. Please talk me down, friends!
While I love all of the colors equally, the gray sweater has a special place in my heart. Gray is my go-to neutral color and I probably own more gray than black these days. I’ve found that I really enjoy wearing this sweater with shades of green, which is weird because green isn’t normally in my repertoire. But here we are; I love a good camo/olive green. Don’t @ me.
Grey Sweater Outfit One
Dress – Zulily (no longer available) | Sweater – BP Stitch Curve Hem Cardigan in Gray Cloudy Heather, Nordstrom | Shoes – Classic Slip Ons in Wild Dove/ True White, Vans | Lip Color – Clinique Pop Liquid Matte Lip Color + Primer in Rose Pop, Nordstrom
My love of Zulily pieces is well-documented on this blog – it’s no secret that this flash sale site has my number. I felt like this dress my riskiest purchase since it’s a little shorter than what I usually wear. But it’s actually a perfect little summery dress, and it has hidden clasps inside to gather the sides up to make it more like a tunic! I’ll definitely be wearing it with leggings and boots this fall/winter. But with my gray sweater and my matching gray Vans, it is a perfectly cute and comfy coworking outfit. Heh, I love alliteration…….
Gray Sweater Outfit Two
Sweater – BP Stitch Curve Hem Cardigan in Gray Cloudy Heather, Nordstrom | Shirt – Lux Crew-Neck Tee in About Thyme, Old Navy |Pants – Lane Bryant, so old (similar) | Shoes – Cole Haan Loafers, Nordstrom (similar)
If I am being completely honest, I am ridiculously stoked to wear this outfit. I’ve never been super comfortable in pants since I’m rounder in the middle. But this has always been on my list of dream fall looks, and I’m so excited that it came together so well! I get a lot of mileage out of these pants, and I wish I could find some similar ones maybe in gray or even more black. They are comfy, but they look so damn good. And yes, Tan France from Queer Eye has got me trying out the French tuck. I feel pretty good about it! I don’t wear these loafers as much as I should, but now that I have found the perfect socks for them, I want to wear them CONSTANTLY. Cute and comfy, but a little dressed up. This outfit is the neutral, classic chic look of my dreams, and I feel fabulous in it!
I’m sorry (not sorry) to say you will be seeing a lot of these sweaters this coming fall/winter. But with the multitudes of colors and outfits, I hope it won’t get boring!!
