First, I would like to say a big THANK YOU for all of the kind replies and responses to my last blog post. Apparently writing super emotional and cathartic posts give me 3 weeks work of writer’s block. But I have some fun new stuff to write about so let’s get to it!
I finally did a little fall plus size shopping, and my purchases are a little all over the place. I’m trying to add more tops and skirts to my collection for the fall. I tend to get in the rut of wearing a dress, cardigan and boots all fall/winter long, so I’m hoping to pick it up a bit this year. Let’s break down my purchases by store……
Rebdolls (The just rebranded and I ordered on their old site Custom Plus, so not everything has a link or image anymore.)
I follow Rebdolls on Instagram, and I am completely in love with their aesthetic. It’s very simple, but (literally) makes a statement. And let’s be honest – leopard print is a total neutral, am I right?? I highly recommend checking them out for a badass tshirt (or crop top!), awesome basic pieces, or THIS awesome varsity jacket…. in pink of course!
Old Navy (I also ordered a pair of their jeggings but they didn’t fit me right, so I sent them back.)
T-shirts are always a little hit or miss with Old Navy for me. One size is a bit tight, but the next size up is way too big. But they stretch out pretty quickly so I don’t mind ordering down. I’d like to find a nice casual blazer for fall as well as a slouchy cardigan and these tops are perfect underneath them. And I’m unnaturally excited about my polka dot tshirt because…. duh…. POLKA DOTS!!
Avenue (I couldn’t find one of the items I got online, so I included a similar one.)
My friend Elizabeth was in need of a little retail therapy, so I went along for moral support. Apparently, I needed some retail therapy as well! The tops are great for skirts or pants, and OMG I bought pants!! I can’t remember the last time I bought pants that I actually like. These are super soft (totally live up to the Butter Denim title) and I love the color. I’m thinking I should go back and get another pair in blue. They fit really well and are super comfy and aren’t too big on my calves.
Amazon (Adam needed socks, and somehow I ended up with 2 tops as well. Amazon is a trap!)
I totally bought two of the same top, and they are amazing! I am seriously considering buying a couple more. They are perfect for everyday wear around the house. But they still look nice enough to run errands with leggings and Vans or Converse. I really like red, emerald, navy, and grape as well……..
I’m still looking for some new tall boots and another skirt or two, but I think I’ve done a good job of identifying the holes in my wardrobe and finding items to fill them. What’s on your fall shopping list?
