The Importance of “Accessories”

I decided to forgo my regular Monday Shopping Cart for a couple of reasons. One, I was too lazy to finish it. 2- All of my shopping thoughts have been geared towards one thing: a fabulous iPhone case!

I have been a loyal Blackberry user for going on five years. I’ve had a Curve, a Pearl, and most recently a lovely purple Curve. I know them, I understand them, and I’m comfortable with them. However, our relationship has been rocky as of late. BB is woefully behind in the technology race and as I’ve become increasingly addicted to involved in social media and the blogging community, I’ve been more and more frustrated with the lack of apps and general slowness of my phone. It locks up all the time, and when I take it in to be fixed, they tell me I’m trying to “do too much” on my phone. In addition, the apps that I do have  (Twitter, FB, Foursquare) are slowly, clumsy and glitchy. Every update makes my phone slower and harder to use. It is not uncommon for my phone to lock up for 5-7 minutes at a time multiple times a day. So to make a long story short (too late!) My relationship with BB is coming to an end. I upgraded to an iPhone which will be delivered tomorrow!

While I am excited about the technological possibilities of my fancy new phone, obviously the most important part is getting the most fabulous case possible. I have a cute laptop bag (to match my pink laptop!) and earbuds that match my pink iPod…… which also matches its pink dock. I carry my pink camera in a matching pink case and even have a pink Nintendo DS. Obviously it’s important to me that my technology be as cute and pink as possible. So of course I immediately began searching for the perfect cover for my new phone. Here are the three I have narrowed it down to:

Kate Spade iPhone Cover

I would feel like the classiest lady ever with this case! It actually might be a little too classy for me, but I’m willing to overlook that……..or get more classy. I love the colors and the bold shapes. My main concern would be getting it dirty. The whole reason I’m covering the white phone is to keep it clean and safe. I don’t want my case to get too dirty!

Marc by Marc Jacobs iPhone Cover

So far this one is in first place! It’s adorable, comes in two shades of pink And looks pretty sturdy. Normally I am not a huge Marc Jacobs fan (yes, I know it’s sacrilege – sue me) but this case is the perfect mixture of cute and classy and functional.

Swash iPhone Cover

This one is like a little work of art! I am pretty sure that I’m not nearly enough to carry this case (people might assume I’m artsy) but it’s so much fun to look at. Pink and peacocks – a perfect combination!

Which one is your favorite? Do you have a case that you love? Please leave all suggestions in the comments or on Facebook – I need opinions!

“Trying to do too much” … yeah, you’re due for a change. I’m more of a fan of the basic black Otterbox, myself. But, I would never claim to be as stylish as you, either. 🙂
